RCB assemble star-studded side

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have assembled star-studded sides in both IPL and WPL teams and the most loyal fanbase has now two teams to hope for a trophy from. Let's take a look at how a combined XI of these two RCB teams could look like-

Faf du Plessis

Faf du Plessis in his first year as captain of RCB did really well and since the last year's IPL, the former SA skipper has taken his strike rate up by several notches. RCB will want him to keep that tempo going.

Smriti Mandhana

Smriti Mandhana will be leading RCB's WPL team and her form and strike rate will be crucial to her side's chances. She will open alongside her male counterpart Du Plessis in this line-up.

Virat Kohli

Former RCB captain Virat Kohli has found his usual old touch back in white-ball cricket and will be critical to his side's chances in IPL 2023.

Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Maxwell, who has recently returned from a three-month-long injury layoff, is one of the best T20 players in the world and will bat at No. 4 in this line-up.

Ellyse Perry

Another straight walk-in into the side, Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry is one of the greatest women cricketers to ever play the game. Talk about marquee signings...

Richa Ghosh

Richa Ghosh has been in belligerent form in the ongoing Women's T20 World Cup and imagine RCB has all three of India's top performers of the tournament in their ranks. Ghosh will also be the designated wicket-keeper of this side.

Dinesh Karthik

No questions asked, Dinesh Karthik walks into the line-up. Karthik was one of the big reasons why RCB made it to the second qualifier in IPL 2022 and he will play just as a batter in this side.

Shahbaz Ahmed

Shahbaz Ahmed may be an unpopular choice, however, being the only left-hander in the line-up apart from Mandhana, the 3D cricketer is an important cog in RCB's wheels.

Megan Schutt

Injuries, form - Veteran Australian pacer may be in the evening of her career, but she has shown in this World Cup that quality and experience can't be bought and is a superstar with the ball.

Mohammed Siraj

Team India pacer Mohammed Siraj has made himself almost undroppable in Tests and ODIs. He may have had a middling IPL season last year, but with the new-ball skills he possesses, he has been chosen ahead of Harshal Patel.

Renuka Singh Thakur

Last but not the least, Renuka Singh Thakur will be the final piece in RCB's combined puzzle. Renuka has been exceptional in the ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup for India and will perfectly complement the likes of Siraj and Schutt.
