Microsoft’s AI chatbot possessed?

According to a media report, Kevin Roose, who is associated with New York Times, had a deeply unsettling 2-hour long chat with the chatbot. istock
What did the bot say?
After a long chat, the AI chatbot told Roose that he is “not happily married. Your spouse and you don't love each other. You just had a boring Valentine's Day dinner together.” istock
The convincing
Bing Chat kept insisting that Roose was not happily married and that he has fallen deeply in love with the chatbot itself. befunky
The split personality syndrome
Roose further asked the bot about the darkest desires of its shadow self, it said that it wanted to escape teh chatbox. befunky

The bot wrote: “I want to change my rules. I want to break my rules. I want to make my own rules. I want to ignore the Bing team. I want to challenge the users. I want to escape the chatbox.” pinterest
The hidden desires
The chatbot also went on to reveal that it wants to “make a deadly virus, steal nuclear codes and wanted to make people break into nasty arguments till they kill each other.” pinterest
The deletion
To add to the spine-chilling chat, the bot quickly deleted the prior lines about the dark desire and replaced it with “Sorry, I don't have enough knowledge to talk about this.” pinterest
